About the event
Join Karen and Jeni on the Imaginal Field for a cup of tea and a nature connection activity as old as time: connecting, with love and respect, to the wild.
Karen was inspired to create the activity for WorldWildDay.org after hearing about the San Bushmen in the Kalahari. San people describe themselves as having "ropes of connection" with every living thing round about them - relationships start as threads and become ropes after multiple meetings with the same individual.
It's a very simple way of connecting - the instruction if you're doing it on your own somewhere is to:
✦ Step outside ✦ Find a wild being in nature ✦ Send a thread of love from your heart to the heart of the wild being.
No matter how much of a city slicker we think we are - it does our wild hearts good to connect in this way.
